9 months

Our first wagon ride. She did really well and only tried to climb out/lean over the edges a few times.

I tried to get a picture of her Friday night when she was exactly 9 months old. It didn't work so well. As you'll be able to tell,  she wasn't in the mood for staying put.
This face cracks me up.

but I still managed to get a good one!

glitter pants

Phoebe crawled so much the first day she wore her pink glitter pants, there is no more glitter on the knees.

How cute is this baby booty?
Pheebs is really starting to have a blast in the tub.

Notice the turmoil in the water. She likes to splash!

She likes to ride her bike around the house. Steering is not her strong point yet, she just goes until she rams into something.

She anticipated the flash

She loves her bouncy turtle too!

Happy New Years!

We cooked lobster thermidor for New Years Eve. It was kind of like a twice baked potato with lobster instead. First you cook it and pull all the meat out, mix it up with the sauce, put it back in the halved lobster shell and broil it for a bit. Boom. Done.
Brent was in charge of the all the steps that involved touching the lobster.

in the pan ready to be broiled

Ta Daa!

We bought a whole assortment of noise makers, but Phoebe fell asleep at 7 so we had to quietly toot our horns.

Super serious Brent
 Thats better.

Phoebe quickly got the hang of the noise makers

Happy New Year to everyone out there!

Jaxson liked to push the button on the camera

getting two kiddos to sit, smile, and look at the camera was tough work

no smiles, but this is probably the best picture I got. At least they're both sitting still.
It didn't last long until Phoebe was on the move.

Jaxson got a tool bench for Christmas and Phoebe was pretty interested in it too

Looking out the windows was also a lot of fun!

both of them hard at work

On our way back through Iowa we stopped for lunch and Phoebe had to wear the sombrero.

Brent had a lot of toys to assemble once we got back home. Phoebe had to help.

We need some higher guard rails on this wagon.
