so many festivals

cute.
This is her new favorite toy. It squeaks, rattles, crinkles, has a mirror and tags. Flash is very interested in it too but has left it alone so far.

These blocks have also been a big hit.

We went to a sand festival this weekend.

 Baby photo bomb.

This is the end product of a "quick sand" competition. Two professional sculptors had ten minutes to make a chicken laying an egg. Now, maybe I had unrealistic expectations...but come on this doesn't look like a chicken at all. Perhaps if you've never seen a chicken. But for a professional sculptor to make this?!?! boo. I could do that.

On our way back from the sand festival we stopped at the Shark Museum. I guess we didn't really read the sign right. It does say Souvenir City and Shark Museum so that should've been the first clue that this wasn't going to be a great museum. But it has a great front entrance and that alone made stopping worthwhile. However, my final opinion on the museum is that they must've blown their entire budget on the front door. I wouldn't recommend this place. Unless you're in the market for some junky souvenirs. Then it is perfect.

We had one more festival to go to before the day was over. We stopped at the Pensacola Seafood festival and looked at all the arts and craft booths and all of the food stands. It was crazy busy. Tons of food stands too, but with some poor planning we ate lunch before going to the festival so we were not hungry. Next time we go to a food festival we'll get it right.
